Frame Details

Are you getting alittle bored of just practising the same moves on your trials bike? If so, this could be the exciting new frame you've been looking for.

Why not join some of the most skillful riders around and make the move to 24" wheels, which makes it easier to delve into the vast variety of BMX moves which are the perfect addition to your already impressive trials skills. Astound even more people as you find it easier to pull moves they weren't expecting from a trials bike!

As a rider run business listening to riders demands, we're very happy to answer riders' requests for a 24" frame developed around trials geo with a winning combination of top strength, great looks and also great value price.

Previous 24" frames suffered from a short life due to some design deficiencies and as a result are no longer on sale. With HeatsinkBike's Mechanical Engineering Design background, we've been able to design the 24UK frame to incorporate significant improvements to the key frame areas that dictate frame life.

It was clear to us that there was room for design improvements to the tubing junctions. These areas see the highest stress values yet previously were critical stress riser areas, multiplying the actual stress experienced to a point where it caused early frame death.

In addition to improving frame life, we've also added extra dent protection to areas that often see abuse in trials riding. Plates underneath the downtube at both the bottom bracket and head tube ends have the dual purpose of reinforcing junction strength and also beating off those frame killing dents.

Through careful design, this new level of frame strength and robustness doesn't come with a tank-like weight penalty!

The overall frame geometry is based around a compact 1025mm wheelbase and 25mm bottom bracket rise for incredible flickability. This closely follows on from the time proven geometry of 1st generation 24" frames for the same degree of bike control.

The 24UK comes in a choice of 5 eye catching colours; Metallic Blue, Matt Black, Polar White, Ferrari Red, Gunmetal Silver.

24UK RIDER VIDEOS
Fred Judd's Video - UK Street Riding

Fred's kindly put together this little vid showing him prowling the streets on his stunning white 24UK bike. No obstacle is safe from being sessioned and Fred makes it all look so easy!.

A great vid showing off Fred's skills and the capability of our 24UK frame!

Dai Howells' Video - The 24UK debuts in Porthcawl, Wales!

Dai Howells is the proud owner of a black 24UK frame, and he's made a quick video showing how much fun he's having on his bike. You can now see that this new 24" trials frame from HeatsinkBikes.com rides as good as it looks!

Filmed on the sea front of Porthcawl, the home of trials legends Martyn Ashton and Marin Hawes, there are a wealth of obstacles showing that this bike is great for pure trials as well as more dynamic rolling moves and flicky moves which are so much easier on a 24UK than stock trials bikes.

Forgive the shaky camera at points, this is some quick and raw footage which admirably shows the sort of riding he's have a blast doing. The music perfectly matches the frenetic pace that allows David to pack alot into a relatively short video at 2mins. Be sure to check this video out!

Please note: Always wear a helmet when out riding. It's silly to not protect your head when trying trials moves- David will have his on in his next video.

Why 24" Trials?

Riding the streets. This is where every rider first begins his love affair with trials. Conveniently located just outside most riders front doors, everyday walls and benches are suddenly used for bike moves most people have never even conceived! The basics of bike balance can be learnt in a few hours and from then on you will quickly be hooked in the pursuit of the most impressive moves possible.

In recent times, trials frame designs have evolved to suit the competition scene which is played out on natural terrain found far from the town centre. Here the winners are elevated from the also-rans purely by their superior abilities to cleanly get up-and-over obstacles and there are no marks for style. The comp riding requirements have driven a trend for longer, seatless steeds as task horses.

It's time to rediscover the streets! There is a growing wave of riders coming back to recapture the joy of street trials. Where the definition between BMX and trials is blurred and where the short flickable bike is king and a comfortable bike seat is a welcome perch after each burst of frenetic activity. Where people ride for fun and style is celebrated!
